Daniel Power – Director

Daniel’s journey with Western Projects commenced in 2005 as Site Supervisor, responsible for various construction projects at Murdoch University and The University of Western Australia, amongst others. Prior to this tenure, Daniel worked in Australia and overseas and also enjoyed running his own successful carpentry business.

With more than 22 years’ experience in all things construction, Daniel has an innate understanding of the building process and excellent vision for new initiatives. His genuine passion for the job coupled with a demand for high quality workmanship at all times, has seen him gain respect within the industry and enjoy success with Western Projects.

Daniel is a Registered Building Practitioner and Contractor and holds a diploma in Building and Construction. With a long history at Western Projects and as a Director/Owner of the business, Daniel is committed to the ongoing success of the company and maintaining its high standing reputation within the industry.

Daniel has managed several major projects including:

  • University Club Colonnade extension and Western Terrace function area
  • Curtin University Building 209 refurbishment
  • 57 Murray St Perth – Finalist in the Heritage Council Awards 2014
  • Wanslea Cancer Wellness Centre – State and National Heritage Council Winner 2015
  • Christ Church Chapel upgrade
  • Curtin Wesfarmers court Stage 2.
  • UWA Reid Library Ground floor refurbishment.

Jos Colvin – Director

With more than 13 years construction experience, Jos commenced his career with Western Projects in 2009 as Site Supervisor.   Responsible for various construction projects at the University of Western Australia and several private schools around Perth, Jos has forged a reputable name in the industry and is well respected by architects and contractors.

Holding a Diploma of Building and Construction, Jos has an inherent understanding of building processes and is well regarded for his ability to control site activities and complete projects on time and to budget. Prior to entering the commercial construction industry, Jos spent many years in residential construction for a boutique builder.

As Director/Owner of Western Projects, Jos’s primary focus is to oversee all Site Managers on a daily basis, review programming and site trade activities, as well as developing and implementing strategies for business growth.

Jos has managed several major projects including:

  • 57 Murray Street heritage works and Curtin Law fitout
  • University of Western Australia (UWA) Park Avenue Podiatry Surgery/Clinic and lift installation.
  • UWA Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery Basement refurbishment.
  • St Patricks Primary School extension.

  • UWA EDFAA Library project.
  • Perth College Administration refurbishment.
  • UWA Student Guild project.
