Western Projects were engaged by PlanE to undertake the roof replacement works at the Kings Park Zamia Cafe. The works involved installation of a new zincalume roof sheeting and associated roof plumbing. Mechanical plant located on the roof was replaced, site electrical services were upgraded and new internal glazed louvers were fitted to the cafe interior. The scope also included projects refurbishment of the existing BGPA onsite public toilets, complete with new floor tiling, fittings and fixtures and anti-vandal doors.
Construction activities were closely coordinated with Zamia Cafe tenants and the BGPA to ensure works could be delivered in the time frames required. The location of the works were situated in a prominent location of the park, therefore expert Site Management and coordination was undertaken to minimise risk to the general public visiting the adjacent playground.
All works were completed within budget and on time, with Zamia Cafe re-opening it’s doors with no delay.
