Following the successful refurbishment to the HH Block at Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital, Western Projects were engaged to complete refurbishment of the Catheter Surgical Suite in G Block. Working closely with the SCGH Engineering Department, the project involved significant structural upgrades to accommodate a new, state of the art Catheter Machine, supplied by Siemens.

Full service upgrade were completed to include new electrical and communications systems, compliant wet and dry fire systems and significant medical gas service installations.
The refurbishment required expert project management and communication of trades onsite, with the works situated between two live and operational surgical suites and recovery ward. Western Projects facilitated after hours service isolations to eliminate risk and reduce the impact of construction activities to the adjacent live environments.

The Project was successfully completed on time and most importantly, without disruption to the operation of the Cardiac Department at the Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital.
