Western Projects were engaged by Shape Management to undertake the refurbishment of the Human Anatomy Laboratory in Building 404. The project saw the construction of a new cadaver freezer space and refurbishment of existing laboratory spaces.

The works included complex coordination of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic service upgrades for the new plastination freezer installation. To maintain operational use of adjacent facilities in Building 404, services isolation works were carefully coordinated with Curtin University staff and stakeholders.

The Project works were highly sensitive and controlled, with the requirement of all subcontractors to undergo Police Clearance Screening and privacy awareness briefings. The works were carried out on time and to budget, meeting the requirements of Curtin University staff, students and stakeholders.
